301 Staff:
The staff may validate an expenditure up to $150 on items they
deem necessary for the school that are time-sensitive. This item does
not
get deleted at the end of the year.
303 Expiry: Financial Resolutions expire in 6 months or year-end, which
ever is closer, unless it is expressly passed to carry over till the
next year.
304 Bookkeeping: Anyone wanting money from SANE must either take a
Resolution to School Council or set up a Room or Activity Budget with
School Council. They must keep track of expenditures and balance on
a page
designed for this purpose. To be paid, the person must take their page
from the Money Book, fill in their own name and the names of the members
present at the meeting that decided on the expenditure. They attach
this
page to the SANE requisition form. The page will be returned to the
Money
Book by the Treasurer when the check has been cut.
305 Grants: If someone wants to earn money from SANE, they must present
a
proposal in writing with specifics as to time to be spent and end
product. This proposal must be published in the Newsletter. The money
must come from funds that are raised by the Community for the specific
purpose of funding a grant rather than from school fees that are raised
for
supplies.
307 Coordinators: SANE will pay a member of our community to act as
Parent
Participation Coordinator. The pay would be $15.00 per hour for a total
of
up to 120 hours ($1800). This job requires that the Coordinator will
put
in their regular unpaid hours as well. The Cottage Coordinator will
work
under the same conditions. This position will automatically be paid
by
SANE every year.
308 Fundraiser's: All fundraiser's must be consented to by School Council
and the General Meeting. They must also be advertised in the Newsletter
and discussed with the Fundraising Chairperson. All monies raised must
be
accounted for and turned over to the Treasurer who will disburse it
as
agreed upon. Stores cannot make personal profit except in the case of
hand-made goods.

Judicial System
500
Meetings
501 Committees: Minutes are to be taken at all meetings, and published
in
the Newsletter.
502 Extra Meetings: Anyone calling a Special Evening Meeting must
include in the notice a request for RSVP with a name and number to
call. This is in case the meeting must be changed or cancelled.
503 Protocol: You may not leave a meeting to gather up supporters
for
your resolution, nor may you rabble-rouse during a meeting. Friendly
amendments that stick to the subject, clarify and do not change the
original intent may be entertained by the Chair, but the owner of
the
Resolution must agree to the change. There will be a Speakers' List
kept
when quite a few people wish to speak. Each person may speak for as
long
as they need to, but they must not repeat themselves. Once the Chair
has
closed the list after the vote has been called for, then the remaining
speakers will be held to 2 minutes maximum. People who bring Resolutions
must be there to present them. Only 'For' and 'Against' votes count
in the
2/3 majority. You can't vote on a resolution unless you were there
for the
discussion. Adults must get three student sponsors for any Resolution
they
put forward. You can only bring the same Resolution (same intent)
three
times. After that you must publish it in the Newsletter before bringing
it
each successive time.
504 Emergencies: Emergency Resolutions Meetings may be called if a
person can get 10 signatures of people who agree that it is needed.
506 Philosophy: Any community member may call a Philosophy Meeting
whenever they see a need. It must be published in the Newsletter,
and
minutes must be submitted to the Newsletter as soon as possible after
the
meeting.
507 General: General Meetings are held once a month on the second
Wednesday of every month unless otherwise noted in the Newsletter.
Children under 12 may use the childcare provided by SANE, and older
children may attend the meeting or go alone or in a small group to
a pre-arranged (with staff) place.
508 Mandatory: There will be three Mandatory Evening Meetings every
year. The first will be on the Wednesday after Labour Day (unless
the
community is notified otherwise). The second will be on the second
Wednesday in January.

Safety
601 Supervision:
Sponsors may refuse to supervise anyone at any time for any reason.
They should be respectful when they refuse, and the person refused
may request a conflict resolution session at a later time. If a person
has been told that a sponsor does not want to supervise them, then
they must leave the area at once. They may not argue, plead or cajole.
602 Play fighting: The BMR is the only room where play fighting with
pillows can happen. A Licence III Sponsor is the only one who can
sponsor play fighting with pillows. Anyone hitting above the waist
will be asked to leave for 5 minutes. If they do it again it will
be 10 minutes. If they do it again they may not return for the rest
of the day. No one may actually hurt
anyone else. If you accidentally hurt someone, you must engage in
Conflict
Resolution with that person or leave the BMR.
603 Wrestling: Not allowed.
605 Hockey: No high-sticking, body-checking or tripping. No put-downs.
606 Toy weapons: Toy weapons may be made and used for drama plays
or as props in a Simulation Game. If they are to be used, there must
be a staff
person supervising the play or game. No replica guns or cap guns purchased
from a store may be used.
607 Sticks and sharp objects: You may not use sticks in play. You
may sign out the black tubes for games. You may not use pencils or
any other pointed objects when running around.

BMR.
608 Tying arms and legs: You may not tie, tape or handcuff a person's
hands or feet or legs together.
609 Fire: No matches, lighters or magnifying glasses to use to burn
paper
or wood.
610 Fire drills: Anyone behaving in a way that disrupts orderly evacuation
and attendance taking during fire drills may be asked to take RA I
until
after a meeting with a staff person and parents.
611 Off campus: Only students who are either high school age, or have
a
written permission slip from their parent may leave the WH campus.
They
may leave for only 3/4 of an hour per day. They must sign out on the
board, and be back in time for 9:45 check-in or 2:45 check-in. They
must
check with School Council re Complaints if they are going to be gone
any
time between 12:15 and 1:15. They must behave in a manner that reflects
well on Windsor House or they will lose the privilege.
612 Skateboards: You may not skateboard in the school, on the blacktop
in
the primary enclosure or on the entrance blacktop. If the wheels of
your
skateboard touch the floor or blacktop in these areas you must forfeit
it
for 24 hours or do an hour of cleanup before you may reclaim it.
613 Rough play Anyone engaging
in rough, noisy or boisterous play anywhere (especially in the Halls)
in the school, except in the BMR or the Gym, will be sent outside
for 15 minutes. Examples of such behaviour include: ball playing,

2
and no more than 5 elementary students who wish to build forts or
play
fantasy games. Level II allows an adult to supervise up to 10 students
who are not playing fighting or chasing games. Level III allows a
staff person to supervise as many students as they deem safe, in any
activity they deem safe. Helen will designate Levels.
