S.A.N.E.
(Society for the Advancement of Non-Coercive Education)

S.A.N.E. stands for the Society for the Advancement of Non-Coercive Education. This group is a support for Windsor House Alternative School, and a proponent of non-coercive education in general. At present, the membership is made up of the parents of students at Windsor House. To belong to this group, members are asked to donate money on a sliding scale of $10 to $40 per month. This money is donated to Windsor House to be available to the community to purchase equipment or subsidize activities. All expenditures are passed through a School Council Meeting in the form of Resolutions. The students, parents and staff each have one vote. This group also organizes public meetings to inform people about non-coercive education.
